Glycine is an amino acid used as a flavor enhancer, especially in sweeteners, soups, sauces or deli meats. It is also used to mask the metallic aftertaste of saccharin (E954). This amino acid is a natural constituent of proteins. It is widely present in our diet. Its consumption as an additive is minimal in comparison to that of normal food. Wisteria is considered safe. No Acceptable Daily Intake (ADI) has been set.
